We invite you to share your perspectives through the Indigenous Agriculture & Food Systems (IAFS) National Engagement Survey.
This national engagement is gathering input on Indigenous agriculture and food systems across Canada — what is working well, what challenges remain, and what supports would help unlock future opportunities for communities, producers, and organizations.
The engagement is being led by Mokwateh, an Indigenous advisory firm, in partnership with Farm Credit Canada (FCC). Insights gathered will help inform future programs, partnerships, financing approaches, and support services related to Indigenous agriculture and food systems.
The survey explores four key areas:
- Land Access and Management
- Food Security
- Economic & Market Opportunities
- Capital Solutions
- Indigenous producers and harvesters
- Community leaders and administrators
- Land and economic development staff
- Indigenous businesses and organizations
- Youth, Elders, and Knowledge Keepers
- Sector partners and practitioners
If you are involved in or connected to Indigenous agriculture and food systems in any way, your perspective is valuable.
What to Expect
- The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes
- You can answer only the topic areas most relevant to you
- Plain-language definitions are provided for key terms
- You may skip any question you prefer not to answer
Privacy and Participation
Participation is voluntary. Responses are anonymous and will be reported only in summary form. No quotes or identifying information will be used without permission. Survey data is stored securely and accessed only by authorized project staff.
